Week 180 saturday Centus

Ok its that time when I have 100 words to speak about a word or theme, this week Jenny has given us HOPE.

HOPE

Hope is the state which promotes the desire of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in ones life or in the world at large. (Wikipedia)

How many times in a day do we say "I Hope"?
I know I say it many times I also text it when I know that somebody is going through something difficult or pleasurable.
This has made me think is there another word I could use instead of HOPE?

How about Trust ?
This would be good if you have prayed for someone.

What about  Guess ?
This would be suitable if you can see smiles or hear happiness in voices

Ok small thoughts that have gone over the 100 sorry

Please pop over and see Jenny she would love to hear about Hope from you .

Riddle me re

My first is red but not in blue
My second in eggs and also in cake
To find my third look to the moon
Obviously I am hiding my fourth
Letter five is here
The sun shields the sixth
And finally seven is in bed
My whole is a feeling of sadness for past mistakes

What's the topic today?
Have experienced this a lot in the last four yes and many times I say what if?
What if I had been the best wife would he have wandered away ?
All I know is I have a new life
Hallelujah

Please link up with Jenny for Saturday Centus . See you there or be square

To Frack or not to frack that is the question

Oh wow another week has gone by and it is time to do Saturday centus. Poor Jenny is thinking of ending our , well my pleasure. Please join in get your fellow bloggers to join in .
Any way here is my offering for the week .

Fracking  Heck, how could they do this I mean come on look at that beautiful green field?

Next week the machines will move in and put an end to our 'Hot time. Summer in the City.'

I know that there will always be new ways of getting energy, but at what cost?

The green and pleasant land that I live in is going to be ruined. Don’t get me wrong I am all for conserving energy love wind turbines but why not just put turbines up instead of drilling.

Ok rant over I know my voice will make no difference.

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

I do not know the answers as to Fracking being right or wrong so I have put a link for  and a link against.
I am now off to see what other people have come up with. Probably less challenging than me

Please pop over to see Jenny Here

Slip slap slop

I am once again contributing to my favourite meme Saturday Centus.

The silent sun glowing
Waiting for the world to wake up
Breakfast called and time for school
Maths and English what a bore
Slip slap slop factor 30

Time for lunch at the noon of day
On the bench with warm curled sandwich
Warm water and brown banana
Sun is oh so hot engulfing me as I fell into a ring of fire
Slip slap slop factor 50

Art  and history for afternoon school
Followed by PE in the scorching sun
The final bell goes and home
The holiday has started
slip slap slop factor 30

Please link  up with Jenny and see how others have interpreted the prompt I fell into a ring of fire

Saturday Centus

Wow another week has gone by and it's time for Saturday Centus.
As my American family and friends celebrate 4th July our friend and inspirer Jenny has  given us the stars and stripes flag to muse on.
So here is my contribution .

stood and stared at the site before my eyes, how on earth could this have happened.
My cousins have always told me how respect exited the Stars and Stripes.
It seemed to me that the Americans show much more respect to their flag and national anthem.
I would be surprised if many children who leave school today in England know the words to our National Anthem, I mean I have to admit even  I don't know the words past the second verse.
Anyway back to the picture how could somebody destroy the Stars and Stripes , maybe an old flag.

Happy Fourth of July Everyone. And please once read my offering and hopefully left a comment please pop by to Jenny and see what else is on offer

well it is Saturday Centus once again. This week dear Jenny has given us a pirate theme what fun . As I am not familiar with "pirate speak" I popped over to HERE and had my words translated free.
I am sure any literay genius would pick fault with my mishmash of words attempting to be a poem but here goes oh I have used the prompt as the title hope this is not considered cheating .

"Argh Matey"

"Captain Tracy Cook here me hearty

Time you crew t' note t' sign “No Farty”

You’ll walk t' plank with no “excuse me”

And find t' pirate eatn sharky ".

,"t' weather be dry with rain t' follow

lets put down t' anchor and visit that land"

,"well find t' gold and have a meal "

,"for me its chips and eel "

,"With t' anchor down

And rowin' boats ready

T' greedy crew

 Set o' t' t' land "

,"Greed in their eaye

And hunger in their bellies

All they wanted was rum punch

And roast shark for lunch "

Eggs

An Egg in a shell

 Eggs in scramble
On slices of toast
Fried in the pan

Dear Mum

OK it has taken me a while to decide how to write this centus. I thought at the time oh it will be easy. That was until I started reading what everyone else has written.
Thank you Jenny for allowing me this space, also thank you to those that have contributed your posts are awesome, and have made me cry.
Losing a parent at 16 is very hard , but you don't realise until adult hood how hard.
In 1979 I was a very Naive child and yes I was still a child not like my children that hit 16 with hormones flowing wildly.
Any way her is my letter to my mum. When you have read please pop by to Jenny's place and see how others have contributed to her blog.
Like many in blog land my mother and I are perfect strangers to you but you have taken time to say hi.
Bless you

I never knew you as an adult. I only saw you through the eyes of a child I am sure I bought you pain; I know I told you lies.

I know I did not love you everyday we were together.

But Mum I do know that you loved me unconditionally that’s why you made the ultimate sacrifice to allow another mother bring me up.

I like to think you watch me from heaven and know your grandchildren, including the one alongside you.

All I can say now is Thank You Beryl for taking me home

Love You Always

Tracy

Did I say that?

Hi it's that time of the week, the time that gets my brain working. Now I have never been a women of few words so each week I am challenged each week to use only 100 words I mean come on I can use 100 words just to get started .
Below are the rules. Please link up with Jenny and see what others have come up with. Be warned it takes some people a few days to get their literary juices going , me i just say then think later.

The prompt is in Colour.

It is 2063 I have celebrated my hundredth birthday. King William and Queen Catherine are on the throne, like me they are grandparents but no great Grandchildren
I have eight grandchildren and sixteen greatgrandchildren, I am so proud of them.
At my party it was lovely to to listen to old favourites like Adele and Justin Bieber with theme tune of forty sixth James Bond movie playing as I arrived.
The cocktail serving and photograph snapping Robots were amazing, but for me the highlight was my youngest grandson saying " the best pieceof advice My Granma always told me was to always back up the computer"

Retire ? No Never

Well it is Saturday and that can mean only one thing, Saturday Centus time has arrived.
Today I had to actually google the topic DearJenny cose for us. Punxsutawney Phil .
Now I am aware of Groundhog Day, it is also Candlemass which is the traditional day that all the candles to be used in a church during the coming year are blessed. Feb 2nd is also the date hat traditionally the Christmas decorations came down before 12 night superstition. And finally it was my former Mother in Laws birthday .A special date for a special lady.
Ok back to the task in Hand  after googling Punxsutawney Phil, I am left to contemplate the direction I will go with below.

The prompt this week is this question.   What happens to Punxsutawney Phil when he retires?
Number of words:  100.   You do NOT have to include the words of the question in your story.
Style of writing: Any
Additional Pictures: Any

At the age of 126 surely the time has come for me Punxsutawney Phil to retire,I mean what sort of life do I have

Using a chirp and a click and a wink of an eye I foretell if winter will be over soon or last 6 more weeks whoopie do , I then endure 4 days of noise that's nearly as bad as 4th July.

How can I retire I am like Santa , the tooth fairy , and Easter bunny do they get to retire? "No" so why should I expect to. I don't it's a crazy idea of Jenny's.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ok enough is enough I need to pop over to see Jenny why don't you do the same and see what other people have come up with .
