Lights Camera Action.......O

Oh no it so . Do you realise how few films beginning with O there actually are ?
No neither do but on Wikipedia list there are not to many..
So for my alphabet Thursday contribution this week I give you
Octopussy. Good old James Bond
Oklahoma another wonderful musical
Oliver
On Golden pond
One flew over the cuckoos nest
Of this list my own personal favourite is .......

Oliver. A film that portrays the poverty faced by family in the Dickensian times, sadly there are people facing poverty today all over the world sadly there is little that one person can do against the greed that causes poverty.
Oliver didn't have enough food in the work house because the owners were greedy , even when Oliver ended up in what was perceived a better place the greed of Fagin got Oliver initially into trouble.
Oliver is a story and it has a happy ending sadly people facing poverty in. Our world don't always have a happy ending.

Please pop by to class and see what other contributors have come up with for Miss Jenny.

Chirpy chirpy tweet tweet

Yesterday I repositioned the bird feeding station that Chris and Gemma gave me , I have had so much pleasure from it . Anyway to cut a long story short yesterday I put it in this new place so that both households can watch and get pleasure .most importantly tho their special needs son George can enjoy.
He has a new job to help me fill the food station. .
My family think I have become a crazy old bird lady.
I have always loved hearing and seeing birds in m y garden but it was not until a visit to my Spokane based family where I saw how much pleasure my late Aunty Pat got from her bird feeding .
Thee were feeders all over the garden and she had her faithful feathered friends that daily cane by for their fill.
I am also getting a feathered following , it amazes me how they know where to find their food.
I have also got a couple of feeders in the trees .
I made a cake for them two weeks ago it did not last long must be time to make a new one .

Lights camera action

Well here I am at my favourite blog of the week, Alphabet Thursday. If you have dropped in by chance please stay and look around, we are a group of bloggers that are on round 8 of Alphabet Thursday this week we have reached the letter M .
For this round I have chosen to research and share with you movies hence the title Lights camera action. This is however the nearest I get to direct anything .

Ok every week I have to admit I check Wonderful Wiki as an ade memoir and to be honest if I hadn't I would not have come up with these films .
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
My Fair Lady (1964)
My Girl (1991)
My Girl 2 (1994)
My Sister's Keeper (2009)
Midnight in Paris

I have to say though my most favourite ever film that I return to whenever I cant decide what to watch is .......

As an avid Abba fan it was to me a no brainer when it came out , I would love to see it in the theatre .
The whole film has such a feel good thing about it. Plus the scenery and weather make it my number one.
I have this week watched Midnight in Paris and that also is a good film.
Ok well I am off to class to see what other students have offered .
Finally what is your favourite M movie?

Sewing Sunday

I have for ages been meaning to catch up on some sewing le thanks to a week of appointments in Oswestry i. Took the chance to have five days with some friends. It was lovely I accomplished a number of projects .
One was this talking band .
I went to an amazing fabric shop and purchased as many fun buttons that I could find.I got small and large to broaden language skills  different colours of the same item .i also got some iron on patches to add a different dimension .
Lastly I added bells in a variety of colours to engage noise senses so it's only taste and smell that are not covered.

I purchased 1.5meters of wide webbing .

I started by placing a white heart in the centre and then positioned the iron on patches which I actually stitched on for more strength.

Each button was sewn on so strongly in the hope that they can't be pulled off.
I then attached some bells that were on fine ribbon .
I put loops at the end of the tape so that I will have the option to loop onto things.
The only thing I would say is that this is not a toy to be left unattended.

Finally I rolled it up and put inside this small bag that fits beautifully into the base of my handbag , I am sure it will find its way to other places and provide much talking for the future .
Happy sewing .

Lights Camera Action

Gosh these Thursdays come around quickly. I nearly forgot as I a away having a week with friends , been sewing but will share that Saturday

Here we are on the letter L and for me it could be laurel and Hardy.  Or Lassie or Ladies in Lavender .

I have gone for the latter as it is set in Cornwall that is the most beautiful county in England although I don't believe it is right now due to the horrendous storms and flooding .

Any way a brief description of this 1994 film  curtesy of Wikipedia .
Set in picturesque coastal Cornwall, in a tight-knit fishing village in 1936, Ladies in Lavender stars Judi Dench and Maggie Smith playing the leading roles of sisters Ursula (Dench) and Janet Widdington (Smith). Andrea is played by the German actor Daniel Brühl. A gifted young Polish violinist from Krakow, Andrea is bound for America when he is swept overboard by a storm. When the Widdington sisters discover the handsome stranger on the beach below their house, they nurse him back to health. However, the presence of the musically talented young man disrupts the peaceful lives of Ursula and Janet and the community in which they live.
Please take time out today to catch up with our fellow class mates over here with the amazing Miss Jenny .
